The Practice Strength System

Our coaching is built on four pillars — Joint Mobility, Strength, Skill, and Practice. Each pillar supports the next.
We start by improving how you move, building mobility and control at every joint. Then we layer in strength through purposeful loading. Skill brings precision and coordination, turning movement into mastery. And through consistent practice, these qualities blend together, creating a body that performs effortlessly in training and life.

Meet Your Coach — Matt King

I’ve spent nearly two decades helping people build strength and mobility that lasts.
As a StrongFirst Elite Instructor and movement specialist, my approach combines kettlebell training, bodyweight strength, and mobility systems like FRC and Flexible Steel.
My mission: help you build a body that moves well, feels strong, and performs for life.

TESTIMONIALS

I have been working out with Matt twice a week for over 12 years and attribute my core strength and stamina to his training and knowledge of the human body. He motivates me and I always feel better after our workouts. He incorporates mobility training along with strength training which so important especially for women. He is very knowledgeable and is always furthering his education. I have and continue to recommended Matt to friends and family.

Nancy/ Retired

I’ve been studying kettle bells on my own for a few years and I wanted to finally get some professional instruction. I found Matt through the StrongFirst website and I booked a consultation where we covered training goals, training experience, and some basic medical history. I had an in-person lesson a few days later where he did a short physical assessment, recommended some (awesome) warmups that target my problem areas, and then coached me through movements I had been studying independently: kettle bell swings and the Turkish get up.

His cues were fantastic. He was able to provide powerful improvements to my technique and explain why they were important. I’ve still got a lot of practice to do, but I noticed immediate improvement to my mechanics. More strength and less pain.

I highly recommend Matt as a very knowledgeable, supportive, and enthusiastic instructor. I will definitely be going back to study more kettle bell techniques with him.
